Aromas of dark red plum with a layered bouquet of dried roses, dried herbs and clay. A play of tart cherry, dried fig and earthy undertones fill the palate. With firm tannins to round out the experience backend brightness brings it all together to a mouthwatering finish.

Alpicella is an old-world Brunello clone 5 acre Sangiovese vineyard on a sunlit mountain ridge in the Mayacamas, 1,100ft in elevation. The 70 acre homestead is Organically Farmed and surrounded by a 3,000 acre wildlife preserve. The owner, Dan Sanchez, has solely tended to his vines since planting the vineyard in the late 80's.
